Hi my healthy friends! We are back into the Farmer's Market Season -which I know we all love! It's so great to see many of you back there!
So much of our produce is shipped thousand of miles to our grocery stores and ripened through chemical or other means. It is a blessing to be able to buy fresh, local fruits and vegetables!
I also find that it is often cheaper to buy from local farmer's markets.

I have been VERY busy this last month because my daughter graduated from Medical School and will be moving to Colorado to do her residency in Family Medicine. Once she gets her ~$250,000 bill paid off (yikes!), she wants to work in under-privileged areas. We are so proud of her accomplishments! It's been 21 years in school for her! You can watch a little of her grad here (via fb) if you are so inclined :) -If it isn't obvious, I'm a very proud mom! Ha!

flax smoothie, honey smoothie, smoothie with ice cream, flaxseed smoothie 2 Tbs ground whole flax seeds or Cold Milled Flax -Flakes o Gold
-Grind in blender, coffee grinder, or food processor
1 fresh or frozen banana
1 cup frozen blueberries
(or your choice of berries)
1c - soy milk or yogurt or ice cream or ice cubes

Flax Burger Low Carb Burger - Are you looking for healthy hamburgers recipes? The flaxseed Low Carb Burger is a GREAT choice and selection of the healthy burgers recipes!

1 pound thawed ground beef (we prefer grass-fed beef from local farmers), lean ground turkey or bison, veal or your favorite meat.
2 Tbs finely chopped onion
1 clove garlic minced
2 Tbs Cold Milled ground Flax -Flakes o Gold
2 Tbs water
¾ cup soft bread crumbs (1 slice of bread)
1 beaten egg
1 Tbs mustard
¼ tsp sea salt
¼ tsp pepper
